Culinary Students Lead Community Appreciation Lunch Event

We celebrated summer today with a community appreciation event at our Randolph Campus. We invited our neighbors and first responders to enjoy a free lunch, prepared and served by our culinary students from our Food Truck. We treated them to some pulled pork, chicken quesadillas, buffalo street corn, pasta salad, fresh watermelon — and our amazing chocolate chip cookies!

The team included high school students Vincent Bilello, James Huckleberry, Stefania Pujols and Shayna Thomas, under the guidance of our culinary teachers, Mr. Chris Meckles and Mr. Kurt Carlson.

We were lucky that the rain held off as we entertained and thanked several first responders, neighbors and area families, in addition to some board members who braved the hot sun to support our students and enjoy their creations. And thank you to all of our community members who consistently support the hard work we do in educating students who are working hard to improve their mental health and overcome various and challenging personal circumstances.
